Alaska is often termed as the United States’ last bastion of wilderness. With 1.7 million sq km and a population of 800,000, it is a place of purity and wonder. People go to Alaska to get back to nature and, of course, for adventure.
It’s the state that inspired Fourpure’s January 2020 beer, Imperial Beartooth, a ramped-up version of Fourpure’s brown ale classic. So, when most of your days are spent sitting in front of a computer screen, it’s nice to take a break and envisage glaciers, coniferous forest, or grizzly bears pawing at salmon. If only to be there right now... Ok sorry, we can’t, but we can try and sniff the essence of Alaska? Why not pull on some wool socks, put your feet up and have a scroll through.

Yes, Trig Paxton Van Palin is Sarah’s small homage to her music hero, rocker Eddie Van Halen. Grizzly bears can smell food from 3 miles away; they have a better sense of smell than a trained hound dog.
