2010 ＃6

六年前，老高和刘芳把若干好友邀请到了拥有百年历史的豆角胡同六号小院儿，请他们试喝自己亲手酿制的啤酒。那是2010年秋天的一个晚上，消息传开，一群从五道口来的留学生们也来到了这座隐藏在老北京腹地的神奇小院。结果大家都喜欢这些啤酒，谈笑间，大家几乎把存酒都喝完。就这样，从这一个晚上开始, 大跃啤酒已经走过整整六个年头。这些年里在院子里的每个夜晚，都与第一晚一样，好友们聚在一起，对酒开怀畅饮，纯粹而尽兴。

Six years ago in the Doujiao Hutong, Great Leap Brewing first opened for business. One night in the Beijing autumn, Carl and Liu Fang invited a handful of friends to try a few beers that they had brewed. After word spread, a host of Wudaokou students showed up seemingly out of nowhere to put this “craft beer” to the test. Turns out those folks thought the beer was pretty good, and here we are. That first night in the hutongs was just like any other evening, just a bunch of friends getting together and drinking good beer. So, to celebrate the original opening of GLB #6, we’re inviting our friends to come over, grab a spot in the courtyard, and proceed to throw back a few pints.

2016 ＃6

今年的10月10日星期一，在大跃的隆兴发祥之地豆角胡同店，我们会将资格最老的四款大跃佳酿进行特价供应。它们分别是燕麦墨啤、淡啤6号、肉桂冰糖和甫子啤酒，全部25元一杯。为啥？原因很简单。当你在不断进步并研发新酒款的同时，依旧要驻足回望，将曾经的经典之作瞻仰一番。因为假如没有它们的破冰，也就不会有更多新品的诞生。7天的假期之后，紧接着是7天的连续工作日，如此坚忍的日子里不来上一杯吗？

This Monday, October 10th, we’re putting our four original beers, the East City Porter, Pale Ale #6, Cinnamon Rock Ale, and Honey Ma Gold on special for 25 RMB at GLB #6. Because, why not? When you’re constantly looking forward to the next step and the next beer, sometimes you need to sit back and appreciate how far you’ve come. That’s best done over a few pints. You’ll probably need a beer halfway through the mandated 7 day work week anyways.

如果你喜欢喝好啤酒，那不妨在那天到豆角胡同店一坐吧。我们已经计划好，要像2010年那第一波大跃的酒友们一样，在好友和好酒的簇拥间用开怀畅饮的方式，来一起回味那个美妙的夜晚。

If you like good beer, come over to GLB #6 to join us on Monday. We plan on hanging out and enjoying the evening in the same manner that those students did back in 2010, surrounded by friends and drinking some good beer.
